"Reel West" Exhibit at the Eiteljorg Museum in Indianapolis

One of the newest exhibits at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art in Indianapolis is about the influence of Western genre films. NMM Chair Jeff Tamblyn chats with the exhibit curator, Johanna Blume. (29:48)

Gene Autry's western, The Phantom Empire, mingled cowboys of the Old West with sci-fi robots from a lost civilization under the ocean. Atypical of what the Reel West includes, it nonetheless gives an idea of the scope.
