NMM is looking for professional development proposals and ideas for the 41st annual market in Austin, Texas, October 20-23. Suggested or submitted professional development sessions can be papers, presentations, or panels appropriate for a mixed audience of academic, school, and public library staff, educational media vendors and distributors.

Suggestions or submissions may address, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • innovative approaches to streaming,

  • film and streaming industry trends,

  • media collections and acquisitions in libraries,

  • film curation and programming in libraries,

  • media and copyright issues,

  • library workflows,

  • video accessibility,

  • film preservation and restoration,

  • film scholarship,

  • international cinemas,

  • Web video culture,

  • cinephilia and modern film audiences.

If you would like to suggest professional development themes, make a presentation yourself, or recommend colleagues or other dynamic speakers to the NMM Executive Board for this year’s meeting, please reach out via email to: chair@nmm.org or submit your proposal here.
