NETA and NMM Collaborate
The National
Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) is a professional association
that serves public television and educational entities since 1967. NETA will host an
education professional’s day on Monday, September 22nd in conjunction with
NMM. Featured speakers include Gene Wilhoit, Executive Director for the Council of
Chief State School Officers; Sandy Welch of The National Science Foundation and
Welch & Associates; as well as a presentation from the KET Educational Division
staff on public television resources. Additionally, the Utah Education Network team
will present A Vision for the Class of 2020 demonstrating classroom tools
and techniques of the future. The day concludes with a fabulous reception hosted by
The Kentucky Educational Network.
Who Is The Round Up Designed For
The Round Up is geared for several audiences including public television education
professionals, media specialists, technology coordinators, as well as distributors
and purchasers of educational media. We particularly encourage those public
television licensee personnel residing within driving distance to attend. This
regional workshop concept is designed to serve you if you have not had the
opportunity to experience a NETA Conference in the past.
