Volunteers Needed:
The following committees contribute to the success of the National Media Market. Please read the descriptions of the responsibilities of the various committees and give some thought to how you can help. Please email Ursula Schwarz or one of the Board Members if you would like to become involved with the planning of the 2010 Market.

Marketing/Publicity
Distributing Market information in a variety of formats, including email broadcasts, articles in educational publications and newsletters, listservs etc. -
Outreach
Contact past Market attendees by telephone to remind them of benefits of attending. Introduce the newly established travel grant, and the 2-for-1 registration fee. Investigate other educational groups to be invited to the Market. -
Workshops/Professional Development Sessions
Assist the Program Chair, Jo Flick, in making contacts for workshops, seeking presenters, selecting workshops, and making necessary arrangements before and during the conference. -
Entertainment
Assist in making planning and arranging after-hour entertainment, such as bowling, or field trips; working with the local Convention and Visitors Bureau to provide resources for local entertainment and hospitality to participants. -
Registration
Assist with preparing registration materials for the Market and assist the Market director at the registration desk during the Market. -
Tech Support
Assist with the technical needs of the large group presentation, and presenters/speakers. -
First Time Attendee Mentoring
Introduce First Timers to exhibitors, and colleagues from like institutions. -
Nominations
Recommend a slate of Board Officers as needed for each coming year to replace members with terms to expire.
The NMM Board is a volunteer group, and no fees are paid to the membership. If
